Bindu Ammini, one of the two ladies who entered the Sabarimala temple last year, has urged more women to establish their rights by entering the temple. She also criticized the state government for failing to implement the Supreme court order for the last one year.
Bindu Ammini made the statements through her Facebook page. She said,” The next Mandala season is almost here. It has been almost one year since the Supreme Court has passed the order allowing the entry of women into the Sabarimala temple. Has the State government done anything to implement the order? Instead, they asked the police to check whether any women have started their journey to the temple. Whenever a woman sets out to enter the temple, the police try to change her mind and send her back. They also installed cameras so as to make sure that the order does not get implemented. I would like to urge all those women with self-respect to establish their rights by entering the temple.”
