Health Minister K K Shailaja has said the third phase of Covid transmission is more dangerous. If the number of diseased persons increases, it would be difficult to tend to all patients and we won’t be able to give all the current care given. Nevertheless, the government can’t let people die en masse,” she said.
The minister said the situation will spin out of control if precautionary guidelines are not strictly followed by the people. “Kerala’s aim is to ensure that Covid deaths do not happen in the State. For that, we have to fight unitedly,” she said
“Kerala is currently facing a big economic crisis,Ward-level committees should not see politics in Covid-related activities. We will also have to put our focus on preventive measures against Dengue fever and leptospirosis,” she said.
The minister said Malayali expats and Keralities in other states are sons and daughters of Kerala,“Our wish, certainly, is that they should come back to Kerala but, at the same time, the government won’t be able to make an indiscriminate decision,” the minister added.
